The Veronicas Musical Journey
Their musical journey began in 2005 with the release of their debut studio album, titled “The Secret Life of…”. This album quickly gained popularity, reaching the second position on the Australian Album Chart and achieving a 4× platinum certification from the Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA) for selling over 280,000 copies. The album featured five hit singles, including the lead track “4ever,” three of which made it to the top ten singles chart in Australia.
In 2007, The Veronicas unveiled their second studio album, “Hook Me Up,” which also reached the second spot on the Australian charts and earned a 2× platinum certification for selling over 140,000 copies.
The album produced four top ten singles in Australia. Notably, the title track, “Hook Me Up,” became the Veronicas’ first number one single in their home country. Additionally, the song “Untouched” achieved international success, particularly in Sweden, where it held the top position on the charts for seven consecutive weeks.
The Veronicas Comeback

After a significant hiatus, broken only by the release of the Australian top-40 single “Lolita” in July 2012 and a few live performances for their dedicated fans, the Veronicas made a triumphant return in September 2014.
They released “You Ruin Me,” the lead single from their third self-titled studio album. This song made a splash by debuting at number one on the ARIA chart, marking their second chart-topping single and their first to debut in the top position. “You Ruin Me” also found success in the United States and the United Kingdom. The album itself was released both physically and digitally on November 21, 2014.
The Veronicas Host The ARIA Music Awards
In 2016, the Veronicas took on the role of hosts for the ARIA Music Awards. Their career from 2016 to 2021 was marked by the release of multiple gold and platinum singles in Australia, leading up to the launch of their fourth and fifth albums, “Godzilla” and “Human,” in May and June 2021, respectively.
In a different realm, in October 2020, The Veronicas were announced as celebrity contestants on the fifth season of “The Celebrity Apprentice Australia,” which aired in 2021.
Most recently, in November 2022, the Veronicas signed with the record label Big Noise, signaling a new chapter in their musical journey.
